The Community and Trade Union Learning Centre on the Olympic Park celebrated World Book Day by taking learning into Marylands Children’s Surestart Centre. GMB learners at the Community and Trade Union (CTU) Learning Centre at the Olympic Park celebrated success with their General Secretary Paul Kenny recently. The group of learners were receiving certificates for a range of achievements including Skills for Life courses, IT and career enhancement skills. Tackling vulnerable employment is a key concern for policy makers and trade unionists. With the labour market yet to recover from the recession, and increasing numbers of those in work facing temporary and insecure employment, action to improve job quality for the lowest paid workers is as urgent as ever.
