Online learning offers a convenient and effective solution to union representatives looking to develop their skills and knowledge.

GO ON – Give an Hour

Running from 22 October – 12 November, Go ON Give an Hour will be the biggest consumer-focused campaign to date devoted to inspiring, encouraging and supporting the UK to become a truly networked nation!

English Classes every Monday starting 3rd October 2011 for 30 weeks

Due to increasing demand the Community & Trade Union Learning Centre have organised a 30 week course in English which would be classroom based.

The course will run for 2 hours every Monday 10:00am – 12:00pm commencing on Monday 3rd October 2011. Attendance of the course will be flexible to suit your shift patterns.

 To register for the course you would need to:

  • Hold a EU Passport or have permission to work in the U.K
  • Employed

We would like to invite you to come along to the learning centre on Monday 19th September between 10:30am – 11:30am to meet your tutors.

If you are unable to attend on the 19th September but are interested in joining the course, please contact the Community & Trade Union Learning Centre to reserve your place.

ULR Courses available

There are still a few places available on the following ULR course at College of Haringey Enfield and North East London.

>> Health and Safety Stage 1
Course Date & Duration: 10 Mondays from 26th September 2011
Venue: Castle Green Learning Centre, Dagenham RM9 4UN
This course will help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to represent your members around health and safety.

>> Union Reps Stage 1
Course Date & Duration: 10 Tuesdays from 27th September 2011
Venue: College of Haringey Enfield and North East London
This course will help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to represent your members.

>> Union Reps Stage 2
Course Date & Duration: 10 Fridays from 30th September 2011
Venue: College of Haringey Enfield and North East London
This course follows on from Stage 1 and further develops your skills and knowledge as a rep.

Adult Learners’ Week Celebrations – Language Café 

Come and join our FREE interactive and informal language lessons in Spanish at the Language Café – new to unionlearn as part of Adult Learners Week Celebrations.

The weekly language sessions supported by an experienced tutor, are a great way to learn a new language, share cultural interests or just socialise. Everyone is welcome and no previous knowledge of the language is expected. You can come along to all five sessions or just drop in as and when you can.  Please see dates and time below:-

Learn computer skills

Interested in basic computer skills ?

We held a very successful evening computer class for 6 weeks here at the Community & Trade Union Learning Centre.

We’ve had high demands for beginner IT classes so we have organised 4 classes in July through BBC First Click computer course. Anyone can attend, all you have to do is register with Tanya on 0203 288 5520 or by email to ctu@tuc.org.uk
